Byeolha and Hyohyun (fellow trainee under Liz Entertainment) attended college together.
Byeolha was a member of the pre-debut girl group MIDNIGHT under her birth name Seyeon. Byeolha joined MIDNIGHT in mid-2019 and took part in the third pre-debut single, Algorithm, but left in late 2019. MIDNIGHT disbanded in April 2020.
