Early Life:
He was born in Seoul, South Korea. Tablo moved to Jakarta, Indonesia after his birth due to his father’s job and they live there for 3 years.
Tablo’s family again moved to Hong Kong and Switzerland several times until he turned six. At the age of six, he came back to Korea for a short time and moved to Canada when he turned eight.
Tablo Started his Schooling at St. George’s School in Vancouver, British Columbia. He transferred to Seoul International School after that.
He graduated with Bachelor’s Degree majored in English literature and a Master’s Degree majoring in Creative writing simultaneously at Stanford University for 4 years.

In mid-2010 a group of internet users who majoring in English and Creative writing raised doubt about Tablo’s academic background. They claimed that Tablo could not have graduated from Stanford University with both degrees in just three and a half years. This spread very fast as “We demand truth from Tablo” aka “Tanjiyo”.
In June 2010, it is a piece of front-page news when one fansite’s manager claimed that Tablo’s academic record was “not making any sense” and he thinks that there is inconsistency in Tablo’s Manuscripts.
On October 9, police confirmed that Tablo indeed graduated from Stanford, having requested information other than what Tablo has provided directly from Stanford University.
